Kenneth Raymond Sherrard

Kenneth Raymond Sherrard, 80, of Reynolds Station, died Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Lebanon Junction to the late Clarence and Winnie Sherrard.  He was a retired barber and attended Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Sherrard of Reynolds Station; two sons, Kenneth Raymond (Teresa) Sherrard Jr. of Elizabeth, Indiana and James Scott Sherrard of Reynolds Station; a daughter, Kerry Lynn Travis (Jason Terrell) of Sturgis; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Fordsville Cemetery.  Visitation is 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bonnie Smith Hall Moseley

Bonnie Smith Hall Moseley, 94, of Fordsville, died Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Beaver Dam Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born in Hartford to the late James and Flora Smith. She was retired as a CNA from Fordsville Nursing & Rehab and was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Fordsville.  Bonnie was also preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Hall  and  Frank Moseley; daughter, Carolyn Kaye Hall; sisters, Moline Rowan and Dorothy Foster; sons-in-law, Stuart "Buddy" Lake, James Haynes, and G.W. Wilson; and a grandson, Michael Lake.

Survivors include three sons, Tony Ray (Faye) Hall of Hardinsburg, Micheal Joseph (Diana) Hall of Avon Park, Florida and James Napoleon (Beverly) Hall of Horse Branch; seven daughters, Jovonne (Tom) Smith of Fordsville, Madonna Lake of McDaniels, Charlotte Haynes of Whiting, Indiana, Brenda (Jim) Crafton of Auburn, Illinois, Janice (Everett) Wilson, Flora Ann Wilson and Esther Mae Hall, all of Fordsville; brothers, John (Doris) Smith of Habit, James F. (Florence) Smith Jr. of Hartford, Darrell Smith of Lucas and Dwight (Billie Jean) Smith of Hartford; sister, Wanda Smith of Munster, Indiana; 40 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Providence Baptist Church with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Geary Funeral Home,  and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Beverly Ann Canary Westerfield

Beverly Ann Canary Westerfield, 83, of Hartford died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Ohio County Hospital. She was born in Fordsville to the late Earl Corb" and Lucille Canary. She was a retired food service manager from the City of Whiting. She was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church in McLean County and a former member of Whiting Baptist Church and New Harvest Baptist Church in Caneyville. Beverly was preceded also in death by her husband, Herschel Westerfield; a son-in-law, Dennis Weller; and a brother, Bobby Earl Canary.

Survivors include a son, Butch (Lisa) Westerfield of Leitchfield; three daughters, Jewell D. (Ron) Fortener of Hartford, Glenda S. Weller and Anna R. (Dan) Irvine, both of Whiting, Indiana; a brother, James D. Canary of Fordsville; two sisters, Martha R. Phillips of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Linda "Susie' Russell of Schererville, Indiana; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Servicea  are 11:00 a.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made Buck Creek Family, Faith & Future Project.

IN MEMORY OF
Marvin Robinson

Marvin Robinson, 90, of Fordsville, died Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Heartford House.  He was born in Narrows to the late Clarence and Nora Robinson.  He was retired from Martin Marietta and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Pattiville for 66 years. He was a proud and loving husband, Daddy and Pappaw and was loved by many in his family, community, and church.  He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He loved bluegrass and gospel music.  He loved a good deal and could always be found at the flea market or a garage sale.  We know he is up in heaven making deals right now.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Stella Robinson of Fordsville; two daughters, Sharon Sweet and Martha Carol (Mickey) Taylor, both of Owensboro; grandchildren, Amanda (Timmy) Bittel of Fordsville, Kevin Robinson (Melanie) Clark of Owensboro and Bethanie (Brad) Cantrell of Louisville; great grandchildren, Kelsey (Max) Boswell of Owensboro, Kendall Bittel of Fordsville, Olivia Clark, Westin Robinson Clark and Stella Clark, all of Owensboro; and great great grandchildren, Addison Boswell, Raylee Boswell and Malcolm Boswell, all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pattiville. Visitation will be 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Geary Funeral Home and from 1:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Dolly Ruth Crowe

Dolly Ruth Crowe, 83, was called home on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home in Fordsville.  She was born April 12, 1935, in Breckinridge County to the late Arthur Lee Cooper Sr. and Mamie Blair Cooper.  She enjoyed watching some of her favorite preachers and gospel music singers, as well as classic country music and The Good Doctor.  She enjoyed telling stories of her childhood, working in her flowers, sewing and going on long drives through the country.  Ruth was preceded also in death by her husband of 60 years, Lenard Payton Crowe; her daughter, Tawana Faye Baird; grandson, Jonathan Payton Priest; brothers, Arthur Lee Cooper Jr., William Wesley Cooper; and sisters, Betty Jean Cooper and Sally Jane Cooper.

Survivors include a daughter, Vanessa (Steve) Priest; grandchildren, Talietha McKinley, Brandy Fuqua and Daniel Priest; great grandchildren, Lyndsey, C.J. and Laura McKinley; and great great grandchildren, Payton Gray and Tristan Flinn, all of Fordsville.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Fordsville Cemetery.  Visitation is 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bobby Gene Decker

Bobby Gene Decker, 75, of Fordsville, died Saturday, December 29, 2018, at his home.  He was retired from Dunaway Timber Company and was a member of Cline Ridge Baptist Church in Highland, Indiana.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Crit and Violet Decker; and siblings, Peggy, Donna, Donald, Vickie, Linda, Phyllis and Larry.

Survivors include a daughter, Marcella (Steve) Huggins of Horse Branch; brothers and sisters, Brenda (Bill) Pirtle of Hartford, Judy Faye Huff of Fordsville, Dwayne (Carol) Decker and Gary (Carolyn) Decker, both of Dundee; a sister-in-law, Debbie Decker of Fordsville; and four grandchildren.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Olaton Cemetery.  Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Cecil Phillips "Buzzy" Reynolds

Cecil Phillips "Buzzy" Reynolds, 68, of Fordsville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at his home.  He was retired from Insulators Local 37 and was an Army veteran.  He was a member of Fordsville Baptist    Church and Fordsville Masonic Lodge #600.  Buzzy enjoyed car racing, Kentucky basketball and shotgun sports, and he loved his dog, Molly.  He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Reynolds; his mother, Charlotte Reynolds; a son, Phil Reynolds III; and a sister, Shirley Wimp.

Survivors include his wife, Marla O'Bryan Reynolds of Fordsville; a son, Nathan (Erin) Clark of Hawesville; two grandchildren, Connor and Graycie Clark of Hawesville; and brothers, Bobby (Judy) Reynolds and Billy (Sharon) Reynolds, all of Reynolds Station.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018,  at Fordsville Baptist Church with burial in Fordsville Cemetery with military honors by Ohio County Honor Guard.  Visitation is 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Fordsville Baptist Church and from 8:00 a.m. until service time  Friday.  Masonic services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Richard F. Rice, 82, of Reynolds Station, died Friday, December 21, 2018, at his home.  He was retired from Field Packing Company and was a member of Deanefield Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Rice of Reynolds Station; children, Richard (Angela) Rice, Jr. of Philpot, Ray Allen (Jessie) Rice of Whitesville and Robin (James) Murphy of Hartford; and six grandchildren.

Margaret Richards Powell Stivers

Margaret Richards Powell Stivers, 92, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side, at Arbor Springs of West Des Moines, Iowa on December 14, 2018.  Margaret was born August 12, 1926, in Oak Station (Fordsville), KY to Rolla Richards and Flossie Matthews Richards.  She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church. She was a beautician for many years and retired from J.C. Penney's in Iowa.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Dallas Matthews Richards, Viola Mae Stephens, Rolla Richards, Jr. (Pete) and Billy Don Richards.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert A. Stivers of Clive, Iowa; children, Donna Gorman (Roy) of Lewisport, Diana Smith of Mequon, Wisconsin, Mike Powell (Charlene) of Statesboro, Georgia, Julie Jones (Chris) of Overland Park, Kansas, and Jill Madaus (Kris) of Santa Maria, California; sisters, Alberta Hobbs of Owensboro and Shirley Boswell of Dundee; sister-in-law, Bonnie Richards of Fordsville; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Geary Funeral Home with burial to follow in Beatty Cemetery.  Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
