Lula Pearl Beatty

Lula Pearl Beatty, 91, of Fordsville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, peacefully at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born June 14, 1927 to the late Charles and Francis Payne.  She was of the Catholic faith.  Lula was a loving wife, mother and granny.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. "Runt" Beatty in 1981; a son, John David Beatty in 2014; four brothers, Robin, Boyd, Floyd and Earl Payne; and a sister, Grace Bannon.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons, Charles Ray (Darlene) Beatty, James Darrell Beatty and Dennis William (Patti) Beatty; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Roseville Cemetery.  Visitation is from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Zelpha L. Leathem

Zelpha L. Leathem, 96, of Fordsville, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018. at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born in Fordsville to the late Lonard and Lettie Fuqua.  She was a homemaker and a member of Fordsville Baptist Church.  Zelpha was preceded also in death by her husband, Charles Leathem on November 13, 1983.

Survivors include her son, Bruce (Wanda) Leathem of Fordsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville with burial in Newton Springs Cemetery.  Visitation is from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Dorothy "Dot" Sanders

Dorothy "Dot" Sanders, 78, of Hawesville, died Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Heartford House.  She was a member of Blacklick Baptist Church and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Hauser; and two sons, Mark Dutschke and Kenneth "Bill" Dutschke.

Survivors include her husband, Walter "Wallie" Sanders of Hawesville; two sons, Kevin Dutschke of German Ridge, Indiana and Ronald (Savine) Miller of Clarksville, Tennessee; two daughters, Rita (Bill) Mosby of Lamar, Indiana and Carol (Danny) Kellems of Tell City, Indiana; a sister, Becky Richards of Fordsville; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Blacklick Cemetery in Breckinridge County.

Irvin Denton Robinson

Irvin Denton Robinson, 81, of Narrows, died Friday, November 16, 2018, at Fordsville Nursing & Rehab Center.  He was retired from Dunaway Timber Company.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee Robinson; son, Ray Robinson; daughters, Anna Robinson, Allie Richards, Amanda Robinson and Angela Ayers; brother, Norbert Robinson; sister, Bessie Bell; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

No services or visitation.  Burial will be in Haynes Cemetery at a later date.

Sandy Brown

Sandy Brown, 80, of Hawesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy illness.  Sandy was born August 7, 1938 in Dalton City, Illinois to the late Walker and Belva (Burrus) Underwood.  She was a member of Roseville Baptist Church.  Her hobbies included yard saling, embroidering, collecting dolls, scrapbooking, photography and traveling.  She prided herself on family, always ensuring they knew how much she loved them.  Her favorite grandchild was the one she was with at the time.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Don Underwood, Charles Underwood, Doris Underwood Peters, Margie Underwood Scott and Larry Underwood.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Dale Brown; her five boys, Tony (Bambi), Monty, Chris, Randy (Leslie) and Eric (Cindy); fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.  She is also survived by two brothers, Terry Underwood and Popeye Underwood.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Roseville Baptist Church with burial in Roseville Cemetery.  Visitation is 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville and from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mary Margaret Weedman Wallner

Mary Margaret Weedman Wallner, 86, of Fordsville, died Monday, November 5, 2018, at Fordsville Nursing & Rehab Center.  She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Wallner; and a son, William "Billy" Wallner.

Survivors include a son, Harold Wallner of Fordsville; two daughters, Shari (Larry) McManaway of Reynolds Station and Julie Wallner Brewer of Calhoun; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Pattiville.  Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Malvin Thomas "Bo" Brown

Malvin Thomas "Bo" Brown, 74, of Falls of Rough, died Saturday morning, November 3, 2018.  Bo was born in Fordsville, son of the late Fred Brown and Elvera Brown Howard.  He married Jean Dunaway in Elizabethtown, Illinois.

Bo was an ironworker with Ironworkers Local 103 of Evansville.  He later worked for and retired from Dunaway Timber Company in Fordsville.  He helped build large parts of the communities he loved. 

He also was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Melvin;  brother Thurman "Peewee" Brown; and a nephew, Brian Brown.

Surviving are his spouse, Jean; a son, Eddie, and his wife, Sunny, of Louisville; and a son, Andrew, and his wife, Sara, of Windermere, Florida.  Bo is also survived by brother, James "Jim" Brown and his wife, Evelyn, of Towanda, Illinois; brother Erman "Mealy" Brown of Fordsville; sisters-in-law Jessie Brown of Fordsville and Virvian Brown of Hartford; and a niece and numerous nephews.

The family extends a special thanks to Bo's physicians, Dr. Kevin Ridenhour, Dr. Darby Cole, and Dr. J. Russell Ross.

It was Bo's wish that he be remembered by friends and family as they knew him in life; accordingly, no services will be held.  May your next walk in the woods, cast of a fishing lure, or admiring glance at a well-maintained automobile bring forth memories of Bo and the people, places, and activities he loved.

Wilma Lee Bare

Wilma Lee Bare, 67, of Owensboro, died Friday, November 2, 2018, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  She was retired from the State of Indiana and was a member of Black Lick Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Bare in September 2014; her parents, Clovis and Mattie Beatty; and a brother, William "Bill" Beatty.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Lesa Neal of Connersville, Indiana; a step-son, Les Bare of Orlando, Florida; a step-granddaughter, Megan Hill of Connersville; step-great grandsons, Ryan Estes and Logan Hill, both of Connersville; brothers, Charles Beatty and Hillary Henderson, Jr., both of Hatfield, Indiana; sisters Nancy Cassidy of Troy, Indiana and Joyce Hoss of Grandview, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville, with burial in Macedonia Cemetery at Falls of Rough.  Visitation will be 3:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Darrell B. Hedden

Darrell B. Hedden, 77, of Philpot, died Friday, October 26, 2018, at his home.  He was retired from Insulators Local 37.  He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Denton and Anola Hedden.

Survivors include his fiancée, Anna Sanders of Philpot; three sons, Nathan Hedden of Hawesville, Patrick (Christin) Sanders of Owensboro and Christopher (Tosha) Sanders of Fordsville; brothers, Jerry (Linda) Hedden of Robards, Gary (Sherri) Hedden of Ballwin, Missouri and Michael Stuart (Judy) Hedden of Hermitage, Missouri; sisters, Lora (Dale) Hicks of Eureka, Missouri, Linda (Edward) White of Alexandria, Indiana and Toni Sue (David) Braun of St. Louis, Missouri; a special granddaughter, Jada Sanders; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018, at Geary Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Pattiville.  Visitation is from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
